According to a new study, many companies are addressing application security issues a bit too much even after all the intense concerns on this very topic.
If we talk about the research at NTT Application Security then it was conducted after collecting data from around 15 million scans.
In 2021, multiple companies took action to fix a significant security issue and it took them more than 6 months, which is almost 193 days.
It took almost the same time as in 2020, which is again more than six months and almost 194 days. At the same time, companies, on average, also secured some vulnerabilities as some percentage of the overall total.According to NTT's data, remediation rates related to critical vulnerabilities declined to 54% in 2020 and 47% in 2021.
