ALBION ONLINE TALKS UP WILD BLOOD’S NEW AWAKENED WEAPONS IN A NEW DEV VLOG

Shapeshifter weapons might be the star of Albion Online’s Buy Albion Online Silver upcoming Wild Bloods update but there’s plenty of other things to look forward to when the update drops next month. Another key feature of the update is the addition of Awakened Weapons that will serve as a stepping stone for endgame players towards obtaining Legendary Weapons.

Awakened Weapons can be acquired by “awakening” .4 weapons via the Artifact Foundry using silver, Avalonian energy, and siphoned energy. Once awakened, they’ll rack up attunement points as you earn PvE fame. For Tier 6 weapons and above, this means grinding it out in full-loot PvE zones. Once you’ve earned enough attunement points, you’ll then be able to upgrade your awakened weapon with traits to increase its Legendary Rating with higher “strain” costs for each upgrade.

Albion Online, of course, is a full-loot PvP MMORPG which means that there’s a chance that you’ll lose your gear when you die, Awakened Weapons included. Increasing its Legendary Rating, however, will reduce the chances that it’s destroyed on death.

Awakened Weapons will also retain a record of its original creators and succeeding owners. “Players can choose to add to its history themselves, or trade it – maybe even back to the original owner,” Sandbox Interactive explained. “Awakened Weapons cannot be traded on the Marketplace, so this must be done personally. Traded items (but not looted items) must be re-attuned to the new owner for their traits to work.”

The said weapons will be making their way into the game Buy Albion Online Silver alongside the new Shapeshifter Weapons, Tracking System, and revamped player islands when Wild Blood hits the live servers on October 16th.
