Make sure both spouses agree on all matters and fulfill residency requirements in order to petition for an uncontested divorce in New York. Submit a summons to the Supreme Court together with a notice or summons and verified complaint. Serve your spouse within 120 days, fill out the necessary paperwork, and submit a settlement agreement. The procedure is completed when the court issues a Judgment of Divorce after it has been examined and approved by a judge.
